Famous for bringing us Sean Connery and Hagrid from Harry Potter, Scotland has a number of reasons to be proud. With a rich heritage and cultural delights that attract tourists from across the globe, this country is definitely one to consider if you’re looking for places to visit or a new home. Whether you’re planning a trip to Edinburgh or searching for houses for sale in Glasgow, we believe that Scotland most certainly is the place to be! With gorgeous landscapes and an abundance of activities, we can guarantee that you won’t get bored. Don’t believe us? Well, we’ll prove it!

Edinburgh

Nicknamed the ‘Athens of the North,’ it isn’t difficult to see why this city is renowned for its history. Recognised as a World Heritage Site, many visit Edinburgh to feast upon its scenic attributes and stunning architecture; a particular favourite being Edinburgh Castle. One of Scotland’s most famous landmarks, this stately building is not only appreciated for its quality and authority in structure but also because of the magic that comes with it. However, that isn’t all Edinburgh has to offer; the city is also popular for its vibrant social life. The Fringe Festival is a good example of this, as it receives a lot of attention for its ability to bring laughter and light to the people in its streets.

Glasgow

Described by Visit Scotland as the ‘city with style,’ Glasgow has a number of attractions to keep its visitors busy. From its wide variety of galleries to its dynamic music scene, it’s easy to see why it’s been voted as European City of Culture. If you’re a fan of the big outdoors then there’s a wonderful array of gardens and nature reserves for you to explore. Although, if you’d prefer to be in the centre of all the action then you could always go shopping, or check out the nightlife, or even try one of the city tours; there’s definitely something for everyone!

Aberdeen

Celebrated for its associations with Royalty, Aberdeen is perfect for those looking for a relaxing break. It’s a very picturesque city, with Castles and greenery around every corner. Aberdeen is also known for its exquisite Coastline, brining many to its beaches through its excellent views of the cliff tops and coves. If this sounds like something for you, then there are several coastal trails which you can go on, allowing you to not only witness the incredible scenery, but to also see the selection of wildlife that grace this part of the city. Lovely.
