Casino raises over £3000 for charity

Grosvenor Casino logoGrosvenor G Casino Luton has exceeded its fundraising expectations for its partnership with Marie Curie Cancer Care, by reaching its fundraising target set for this year six months early.

Having already raised £3,080 for Marie Curie Cancer Care this year, the casino continues to go from strength to strength with a range of exciting events and fundraising initiatives to raise money for the charity.

The funds raised by Grosvenor Casinos across the UK will help Marie Curie Nurses care for terminally ill people in their own homes or one of the charity’s nine hospices.

Martin Iles, general manager of Grosvenor G Casino Luton, comments: “It’s inspiring to see how the commitment and generosity of our team members and customers has helped to raise this fantastic amount for Marie Curie Cancer Care.

"£3,080 will make a great difference to the outstanding work that Marie Curie Nurses do, and we’re delighted to be able to help fund 154 hours of care for terminally ill people and their families.

"We look forward to continuing to host great events and initiatives to raise even more funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care throughout the rest of 2012.”

Helen Hinde, Community Fundraiser for Marie Curie Cancer Care, added: “It’s the support from organisations like Grosvenor Casinos that allow our charity to continue with the work we do.

"Team members and customers should be proud of their efforts so far in already reaching the year’s fundraising target set for them in only six months.”
