Appeal for hit and run driver
Police are appealing for witnesses after a car failed to stop following a collision with a pedestrian.
The incident happened in New Bedford Road, Luton, near the junction of Fountains Road at around 11.30pm.
A man in his early 20s, was walking home to Barton having been Christmas shopping when the incident occurred.
The driver of the unknown vehicle did not stop, leaving the pedestrian seriously injured.
The victim was taken to the Luton and Dunstable Hospital after members of the public raised the alarm.
He was later transfered to a hospital in London.
