Two women have been sexually assaulted over the weekend whilst walking home late at night.
The victims were groped between the legs in two separate incidents on Saturday between 3.30am and 3.40am.
One of the women, 22, was making her way home on Tennyson Road after a night at work when a man approached her, grabbed her and put his hand between her legs.
The woman, who was using her mobile at the time, screamed loudly and the assailant ran towards the town centre.
In the second assault, a 25-year-old woman on nearby Albert Road was approached from behind and groped her between the legs.
The victim turned around and the man ran down Albert Road towards the town centre.
Bedfordshire Police’s DC Nadia Hussein, who is investigating both incidents, is keen to speak with anyone who was in Tennyson Road or Albert Road and may have seen the man either before or after the attacks.
She said: “Both victims have been left very distressed upset by the ordeals they suffered and it is important that we find the offender who committed these offences and stop him from committing any further crimes.
“If anyone saw either assault taking place or knows who the offender may be then I would urge them to contact Bedfordshire Police as quickly as possible.”
The man is described as black, in his early 40s, around five feet five inches tall, with short black hair which was balding and wearing a grey or green Parker style jacket.
