An author has finally had his first book published after a six year struggle.
Mike French, 41, from Alexandra Avenue, Luton, who is currently the senior editor of ‘The View From Here’ which is a literary magazine based in the town, said he caught the ‘writing bug’ seven years ago.
Mr French’s work entitled ‘The Ascent of Isaac Steward’ was brought out by Cauliay Publishing last month and he will be at a book signing next week.
He said: “I started writing about seven years ago and after I started, I caught the bug and didn’t want to let go.
“This is my first book. It’s one I’ve been trying to get published for six years and I’ve finally succeeded.
“It’s a layered phycological drama about a guy who struggles to deal with the resurfacing of a suppressed memory of a car crash a year ago which killed his wife, Rebekah, his son, Esau, and left his other son, Jacob, in a coma.” Mr French will be at WH Smith in The Mall, Luton, on Saturday, from 10am, doing a book signing for most of the day.
