Detectives are appealing for witnesses following a fire in the early hours of Friday morning, on Long Croft Road, Luton.
The blaze damaged the porch roof of the house and had to be extinguished by the Fire Service before Scene of Crime Officers attended the scene.
Detective Constable Colin Knight, the officer in charge of this investigation is keen to speak to anyone who may have seen anyone suspicious in the area during the early hours of Friday morning.
DC Knight said: “Luckily the fire did not spread into the home where a number of people were sleeping. I am keen to speak to anyone who may have been in the Long Croft area and also anyone who may have noticed someone acting suspiciously in the area prior to the fire.”
