Woman threatened with knife in daylight robbery

A 34-year-old woman was robbed at knifepoint in broad daylight.

The victim was carrying a yellow handbag, black bag containing her computer and her car keys as she walked through an alleyway, which is accessed from Flowers Way, Luton, at 11am on Tuesday.

She was grabbed from behind and threatened with a knife. She dropped her belongings on the ground before they were taken by two men.

The pair got into a small old yellow car similar to an Austin Metro which had been left in a car park close by, and drove away via Park Street West.

The first robber is described as a white man, between 24 – 26 year of age, 5’10” to 6’01” tall, with a slim build, a dirty face and a patchy unkempt beard with very thin patches.

He was wearing black training shoes, a black woollen hat, blue sports bottoms and a matching ¾ length blue jacket with long sleeves.   The second man was white and was driving the vehicle.
