Tom Little continued the impressive start to his professional career with a shutout points victory over veteran heavyweight campaigner Hastings Rasani on Friday evening.
The 24-year-old, who fights out of Graham Earl’s ‘House of Champions’ gym in Luton, faced a step up in the level of experience from his first bout against Rolandas Censa.
That performance had left boxerturned- promoter Earl effusive in the praise of his latest prospect after Little had defeated fellow novice pro Censa.
But Rasani – a former Common - wealth light heavyweight title contender – came into Friday’s fourrounder at Bethnal Green’s York Hall with 89 contests under his belt.
However, Little carried on from where he left off on his debut back in July and took control of proceedings from the opening bell. He landed several big rights on Rasani during the opening rounds and came forward to pressurise the Zimbabwean throughout the contest.
Rasani decided to stand and trade punches with Little late on, but was given a standing count in the last as the Hatfield heavyweight won all rounds on the referee’s scorecard.
