Russell Bull's second half strike cancelled out Seb Lake-Gaskin's first half opener to earn Barton Rovers a final point of 2011 and extend their unbeaten league run to four games.

The Rugby goalscorer almost doubled his tally and stole victory at the death but his piledriver cannoned off keeper Richard Wilmot's bar.

The visitors created the opening chances but failed to make Rovers' custodian work and it was Ricky Case who forced Town's Pete Smith into a smart save from close range.

Rugby broke the deadlock on the 40th minute when Lake-Gaskin stole a yard in the six yard box to direct a cross in.

Rovers rallied after the break and were well worth their equaliser on 62 minutes when Bull buried a chance.

But neither side could force any meaningful openings save for the last gasp strike that rattled the Rovers woodwork.
