Lisa's take on learning

LISA BOWKETT
LISA BOWKETT
LISA BOWKETT, 23, is a Learning Support Assistant, working in a local upper school with Year 11 students (aged 15-16). Her role is to help them access the National Curriculum, specifically those with special education needs.

“MY job”, says Lisa, “is to support teaching and learning: the two go hand in hand. The purpose of learning is growth and our minds, unlike our bodies, can continue growing throughout our lives. From toddlers to teens, students to senior citizens, each of us can develop our skills and that is what I am passionate about.

“I believe that there is a spark in everyone which, given the right opportunity and guidance, can ignite interest in almost anything!”

Through a regular series of articles, written exclusively for Bedfordshire on Sunday’s Training and Education website, Lisa’s aim is to share her experience of education, work, volunteering - and anything else that engages our interest, hearts and minds!

Welcome to the learning zone!

Here on our website you'll find everything that you need to know about Training and Education in your area. From early years’ exploration to retraining revelations in retirement, you know what they say? It's never too late to learn!
