Ensure you're insured
Shelling out in excess of £20,000 on goods and services? Then maybe it’s a good idea to take out some wedding insurance because if the unthinkable should happen and for whatever reason you have to cancel or postpone, the last thing you want is to be worrying about the bills.
In 2011, the average wedding will set you back almost as much as a run-down farmhouse in rural France. Most couples would find forking out that kind of money again impossible. That’s why taking out insurance, should something go wrong on or before your big day, is probably a very sensible idea. You could get your money back and even get help with the extra costs of re-arranging the event.
We all think it’s never going to happen to us but if either of you fall ill, if ‘The Dress’ gets damaged before you even have the chance to show it off, if your marquee is flooded or your caterer goes out of business, well, if you’re covered by insurance then it’s not the end of the world.
If, on the other hand, the end of the world should happen then no amount of wedding insurance is going to make things better.
THERE’S something very special about a spring wedding. It’s the favourite time of year for couples to start out on their new life together. But whenever you’re planning to get married, you’ll find the perfect venue for your big day and all the important services you might need to call on to help you through the process - from engagement party to honeymoon - right here in our wedding web pages.
