The Blockheads
On September 3 The Blockheads, of Ian Dury and The Blockheads fame, take to the stage. The very next evening, Saturday 4 September, it’s the turn of folk-punk band the Levellers.
However, the world of Rock and Roll would not be the same without some last minute hitches and the Stockwood Concerts are no exception.
Due to unforeseen circumstances Wilko Johnson will be unable to perform with The Blockheads.
That’s not to say that there aren’t many reasons to be cheerful, as Wreckless Eric will now be stepping up to complete the bill.
As a fellow former artist on Stiff Records, Wreckless Eric is no stranger to The Blockheads and will compliment the evening’s line-up superbly.
Tickets for The Blockheads and Wilko Johnson will still be valid on the night, but if required, refunds are available in advance from either the box office at The Hat Factory or Luton Library Theatre.
It’s not the first time that either the Levellers or The Blockheads have played in Luton and advanced ticket sales suggest that they remain as popular as ever with local fans.
Enjoy a weekend of non stop dancing and more anthemic songs than you can shake a rhythm stick at. Doors at Stockwood Discovery Centre open at 6.30pm on both nights.
Tickets are just £17 for The Blockheads and Wreckless Eric & Amy Rigby and £20 for the Levellers.
Book your tickets now at the box office on 01582 878100 or 01582 547474. Alternatively, you can book online at www.lutonarts.com.
There will be free parking and bars serving a range of drinks on the night.
Bad Manners is the last of five amazing Stockwood Concerts. They will be taking to the stage on Sunday 12 September. For details, please visit www.lutonarts.com.
