The hunt is on for talent acts to star in charity concert

Talent Hunt
Now until October

British Red Cross and SOS Vocal Training are looking for acts to perform in a fundraising concert to take place in Luton in October.

Following the success of the ‘Songs for Haiti’ concert in February, Bedfordshire vocal coach Dionne Shand has joined forces with the British Red Cross again to stage a second community concert which aims to raise much-needed funds for the unfolding international crisis in Pakistan.

With the last concert raising nearly £1,500 towards the Haiti appeal and with almost 500 people in attendance the event proved a resounding success, despite it being put together in less than three weeks.

Dionne, who runs vocal workshops for church choirs in the UK and is the main organiser of the concert, said: “For this concert we really want to get more local acts involved. We are looking for choirs, groups, musicians and dance acts who would be willing to give up a bit of free time to take part and help us raise valuable funds.

“Bedfordshire is bursting with great and diverse musical acts so we hope we get a great response to our appeal.”

The concert will take place on October 23 and will be held St Mary’s Church, Church Street, Luton.

If you are a choir, band, dance act, soloist or musician in Bedfordshire and you want to take part, contact Dionne Shand on 07733 534529 for more details.
