As the cold, dark nights approach, the latest series of zombie apocalypse horror series, The Walking Dead is about to return to UK television screens for its 6th series.
British actor, Andrew Lincoln (This Life, Teachers, Love Actually) will be returning as former ranger Rick Grimes, for 16 new episodes split into two 8 episode parts.
The first eight episodes off the hit show will be broadcast on Fox just 24 hours after the US on Monday 12 October at 9pm with the remaining eight following in February next year.
At the end of the last season, both Rick’s sanity and humanity were called into question after he bulldozed into Alexandria, shaking up the status quo and alerting residents to the impending danger outside the walls, and the need to change, adapt and prepare themselves to kill.
The inhabitants of the town people have led a sheltered existence while zombies roamed outside the walls and haven’t had to fight to survive, but is Rick the answer to keeping this haven safe or the problem?
Will Rick manage to keep the support of Daryl (Norman Reedus), Carol (Melissa McBride), Michonne (Danai Gurira), Glenn (Steven Yeun) and Morgan (Lennie James), or leave him to self-destruct?
The surge is coming, are the people of Alexandria ready? Has Rick gone too far this time? It’s season 6 and no one is safe, although one thing is becoming scarily apparent if you don’t fight, you die…
